2Kings 2:14 contains the question, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?”

Over May and June we will try to answer that question as we walk in the footsteps of Elisha, who moved from being a “mentee” to a miracle worker, the greatest one in Scripture, except for Jesus.

As we dive into summertime, you can find times of refreshing…from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:20) and a renewed washing of water with the Word (Eph.5:26) in our worship services and Bible study groups.

Warning!! You will be challenged this summer and asked some penetrat-ing questions about your own involvement in God’s kingdom plan. Are you walking in that plan now?!

Reading recently about the lives and ministries of evangelists George Whit-field and Jonathan Edwards, I came across a phrase about God’s kingdom plan –His desire to create in us “a glorious alteration.” As Edwards put it, “He that is spiritually enlightened…does not merely rationally believe that God is glorious, but he has a sense of the gloriousness of God in his heart…a sense of God’s holiness…and that holiness is a good thing.

”God’s great desire for His children is that we walk in His holiness, allowing the Holy Spirit to make “glorious alterations” in us, so that the life of Jesus is fleshed out in us / through us and is reproduced in the life of another believer –a “mentee.” Are you one? Got one?

In Jesus,

Wade
